I am an experienced Assessor and Specialist Teacher who offers professional specialist dyslexia assessments for 7-24 Year olds as well as Online Tuition and Study Skills Support .
FULL LITERACY ASSESSMENT 7-24 YRS - COST £525
This is an in-depth assessment and will provide a detailed learning profile of a student’s strengths and weaknesses. This will be considered alongside the definition of dyslexia if substantiated.
A written report will be provided in line with current SASC guidelines (www.sasc.org.uk); this includes description and analysis of specialist and non-specialist tests/checks. This includes assessment of:

Underlying ability
-
Cognitive Processing
-
Attainment (reading, writing and spelling)
A written report (30+ pages) will include recommendations/advice for Quality First Teaching in the educational setting, suggestions for individual support as appropriate, advice regarding access arrangements and suggestions for support at home. These will be tailored to the student’s individual identified profile of need.
The assessment process will take approximately 3 hours.
DISABILITY STUDENT ALLOWANCE DSA 18+ YRS
A full diagnostics report with a diagnosis of dyslexia can be used as supportive evidence to apply for a DSA. This will provide you with additional support for your future studies.
DYSLEXIA SCREENER 6-16 YRS - COST £105
A screening test can provide an indication of whether a pupil is at risk of dyslexia. The Dyslexia Portfolio by GL Assessment will be used which comprises of nine short tests. In addition, a specialist assessment for receptive language will be administered (an indicator for underlying ability). This individual screener provides a generated report that outlines an individual profile of strengths and weaknesses and recommends possible support and intervention strategies. The report will suggest a risk factor for dyslexia: no dyslexia signs, few dyslexia signs, mild dyslexia, moderate dyslexia, severe dyslexia.
The screening assessment will take up to 2 hours.

If parents are requesting access arrangements, please be aware that this needs be done in cooperation with the school Sendco. This is in line with the JCQ examination requirements. www.jcq.org.uk
DYSLEXIA TUTORING AND SUPPORT - Prices start at £50 per hour
I tutor and support both primary and secondary pupils in relation to all apsects of literacy. This can include reading, writing and spelling support, as well as help and guidance with homework.
If you are a SENCO and you would like a bespoke literacy intervention delivering, 1-1 or small group (face to face sessions), please contact me to discuss your needs. These sessions will incorporate pre and post literacy assessments.
Study Skill support is also provide for students at University. Not all students qualify for DSA funding, but many would benefit from guidance and support especially through their initial years. Please contact me to discuss this service further if you are intersted.
Where do I assess?
I complete assessments throughtout Leicestershire and surrounding areas (East Midlands) and will travel to your home or school. I am prepared to travel upto 20 miles for an assessment, anything above this distance would incur an additional charge.
